Our Certifications

At Little Rêveur, trust and transparency matter. The certifications behind our garments reflect our commitment to safety, responsibility, and care — not just for delicate skin, but for the people who make our clothing and the world our children will grow up in.

While no system is ever perfect, we choose to work with recognised, internationally respected standards that help guide better practices across materials and production.

Why Certifications Matter

When it comes to baby and children’s clothing, certifications matter because they offer reassurance — not just promises.

They help ensure that the fabrics touching delicate skin have been tested for safety, that organic materials are genuinely organic, and that the people behind each garment are treated fairly. In an industry where claims can be vague or unregulated, recognised certifications provide an added layer of transparency and accountability.

For us, certifications are not about chasing labels. They are about making informed, responsible choices and holding ourselves to higher standards — especially when it comes to sensitive skin, ethical production, and environmental care.

As a parent-founded brand, we believe peace of mind matters. Certifications allow us to confidently stand behind what we create, and allow you to dress your child knowing that care has been considered at every step.

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100

What Is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100?
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is one of the world’s most trusted textile safety certifications. It ensures that every component of a garment — from the fabric itself to threads, dyes, labels, trims, and fastenings — has been independently tested for harmful substances.

Testing is carried out by accredited, third-party laboratories and covers over 100 potentially harmful substances, including formaldehyde, heavy metals, pesticide residues, and chemical irritants. This means safety claims are verified by science, not marketing.
Certified Safe for Babies (Class 1)
Our OEKO-TEX® certified fabrics meet the Class 1 standard, the strictest level of certification, designed specifically for babies and young children. This category has significantly lower limits on chemical residues, ensuring maximum skin compatibility for delicate and eczema-prone skin.
Every Detail Is Tested
Unlike standards that focus only on raw fabrics, OEKO-TEX® evaluates every element of the finished garment — including stitching, labels, linings, prints, and fastenings such as snaps or zippers. This ensures the entire piece your baby wears is safe, not just the visible fabric.
Ongoing Compliance & Annual Testing
OEKO-TEX® certification is not a one-off process. Certified suppliers are re-tested annually to ensure continued compliance with evolving health, safety, and environmental standards — offering ongoing peace of mind year after year.
What This Means for Your Baby
• Fabrics tested against strict international safety limits

• Free from harmful levels of chemicals and irritants

• Gentle on sensitive and eczema-prone skin

• Safer for babies and young children
Our Commitment
For us, OEKO-TEX® certification is non-negotiable. It provides confidence that what touches your baby’s skin is clean, safe, and thoughtfully made — exactly as it should be.

GOTS – Global Organic Textile Standard

What Is GOTS Certification?
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the leading international certification for organic fibres. It is one of the most comprehensive textile standards in the world, covering the entire supply chain — from farming and harvesting to processing, dyeing, and manufacturing.

GOTS ensures that organic textiles meet strict environmental and social criteria at every stage of production.
From Farm to Finished Garment
GOTS certification covers the full journey of our organic cotton — from the moment the seed is planted to the moment it is sewn into a finished garment. This includes organic farming practices that prohibit the use of GMOs, synthetic pesticides, and harmful fertilisers, alongside strict controls throughout processing and manufacturing.

This holistic approach ensures traceability, transparency, and integrity across the entire lifecycle of the fabric.
No Toxic Dyes or Harsh Finishes
Many conventional fabrics are treated with harsh bleaches, formaldehyde, heavy metals, or chemical finishing agents. GOTS strictly prohibits the use of toxic dyes and processing chemicals, ensuring the fabric that touches your baby’s skin is as clean, gentle, and safe as possible.
Ethical & Fair Production
GOTS doesn’t only focus on the fabric — it also prioritises the people behind it. Certified facilities must meet strict social criteria, including safe working conditions, fair wages, reasonable working hours, and a strict prohibition of child or forced labour.

Every GOTS-certified facility is independently audited to ensure these standards are upheld throughout the supply chain.
Independently Certified & Globally Recognised
GOTS certification is verified by accredited, third-party certifiers who inspect and audit every stage of production. Suppliers are regularly reviewed and held to internationally recognised benchmarks, ensuring that trust in our materials is always supported by evidence.
What This Means for Your Baby & the Planet
• Organic fibres grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers

• Reduced chemical exposure for sensitive skin

• Responsible water and chemical use during processing

• Ethical working conditions and social  responsibility

• Strict environmental and safety standards throughout production
Our Commitment
Our organic cotton and muslin fabrics are GOTS certified, reflecting our commitment to materials that are gentler on delicate skin and more considerate of the environment — without compromising on quality, comfort, or care.

BSCI – Fair & Responsible Production

What Is amfori BSCI?
The Business Social Compliance Initiative (amfori BSCI) is a globally recognised framework designed to promote ethical, fair, and socially responsible practices across international supply chains. It provides a clear set of standards — known as the BSCI Code of Conduct — rooted in internationally recognised labour and human rights principles.

At its core, BSCI helps brands and manufacturers monitor and improve working conditions for people involved in making products — from fair wages to safe environments and respect for workers’ rights.
What BSCI Looks For
The BSCI Code of Conduct focuses on principles that support dignity, fairness and safety at work, including:

• Fair remuneration and reasonable working hours

• Safe occupational health and safety practices

• No child, bonded, or forced labour

• Freedom from discrimination and harassment

• Protection of human rights in the workplace

• Ethical business behaviour and more — all based on well-established international labour standards.
Continuous Improvement & Supply Chain Monitoring
Being part of the BSCI framework means actively monitoring the supply chain and engaging with partners to maintain and improve social performance. Rather than simply claiming ethical sourcing, participation in BSCI encourages transparency, accountability, and ongoing efforts to do better.
What This Means for Little Rêveur
At Little Rêveur, we believe that responsible clothing should be made with respect for the people behind every stitch — not just the finished product. Aligning with amfori BSCI principles means we work with partners who prioritise fair and safe working conditions throughout the production process. It reflects our commitment to people as much as product.
Our Commitment
BSCI participation underscores our value of fairness in work, transparency in sourcing, and respect for human dignity. While no approach can claim perfection, BSCI helps us go beyond good intentions by engaging in standards that support real people and encourage ongoing improvement in working conditions across our supply chain.
